The standard this site is built to

compareglp targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

That is a target the site is designed and built against. It is not a certification, and no outside party has audited or certified conformance here. No seal is claimed.

Where a page falls short of that target, it is a defect worth reporting, and it will be treated as one.

What that looks like in practice

Text is real text. Comparison boards are real table markup with real headers, so a screen reader reads a row as a row and a price as a cell inside it.

Body text is set at 16 pixels and is not shrunk on small screens. Line length is capped so a long comparison page stays readable rather than running the full width of a monitor.

Contrast is measured rather than assumed. Body text sits far above the AA minimum against the page background, and the single button color passes AA for normal-size text, not only for large text.

Every interactive element has a visible focus ring, and focus styling is never removed without a replacement at least as visible.

Nothing animates, moves, flashes, or plays on its own. There is no carousel, no video, and no motion to switch off.

Color is never the only signal. A ranking position is a number and a label, never a color, a medal, or a shape.

Images, and how few of them there are

A provider's logo is the only kind of image used anywhere on this site. There is no photography, no illustration, and no image of a person.

No logo is the only place a fact appears. Everything a logo identifies is also written in the text of the row it sits in, so nothing is lost if the image never loads or is never described.

Known limits

A wide comparison table scrolls sideways inside its own container on a narrow screen. The page itself does not scroll sideways, but reaching the far columns takes a horizontal scroll, and on some devices that is awkward.

Links go out to provider sites that are outside our control. Their accessibility is theirs, and it varies widely.

Any part of this site that has not been tested with your particular setup may still fail you. That is what the next section is for.

Reporting a barrier

If something here blocks you, write to hello@compareglp.org.

Include the address of the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. Naming your browser and any assistive technology you use, whether that is a screen reader, a magnifier, voice control, or a keyboard alone, helps a great deal.

Barriers that stop someone from reading a price or reaching a provider are handled first. You get a reply either way, and if a fix will take time, you are told what it is and what to do in the meantime.

Getting the information another way

If a page will not work for you at all, ask for what is on it and it will be sent to you in a plain, readable format.

That request does not need a reason attached to it.
