Our assessment

Alloy Women's Health puts eight GLP-1 options on one priced page — brand and compounded side by side, including two oral brand products — under menopause-trained physicians it names. It is one of thirteen sellers here that publish a figure for a brand-name orforglipron pill, alongside ZipHealth, Sesame Care, Lovely Meds, Shapely, Body Good, Kin Meds and GoodRx Care Direct. What the page will not tell you plainly is that every one of those eight figures is the drug alone. A flat monthly care fee is charged on top of whichever you choose, and that fee is larger than the cheapest medication on the page.

The care fee is bigger than the headline

Alloy leads with its lowest compounded figure. That figure buys medication. The care fee is charged every month on top of it, and Alloy states the split in plain words twice on the same page, so this is disclosure rather than a trick.

It is still a trap if you are skimming boards. The care fee is larger than the cheapest drug figure on the page, which means the advertised number is the smaller half of the bill. Double it and you would still be under a month.

What the fee buys is itemized in an accordion: unlimited access to menopause-trained physicians, prescription management, refills and renewals, dose adjustments through titration and maintenance, and side-effect monitoring. That is a real service. It is just not free, and it is not inside the price you first read.

The first month of care is discounted with a code for new customers, so the opening bill is lower than the standing one. Compare on the standing rate.

Eight options, brand and compounded, on one page

Alloy prices compounded semaglutide, compounded tirzepatide and compounded liraglutide, plus brand-name Zepbound in two presentations, the Wegovy pen, the Wegovy pill and a brand orforglipron pill. Every one carries a figure, and none of them is behind an intake.

That breadth is the reason to be here. One hundred and eighteen of the four hundred and twenty sellers here offer a brand route at all, and far fewer put both routes on one page at published prices. If you are still deciding between a compounded preparation and an FDA-approved product, you can see the size of the gap before committing.

The oral brand products are the standout. Thirteen of the four hundred and twenty sellers here publish a figure for a brand-name orforglipron pill: Alloy, ZipHealth, Sesame Care, Lovely Meds, Shapely, Body Good, Kin Meds and GoodRx Care Direct. Fourteen publish any orforglipron figure at all, and Mochi Health is the one that prices a compounded oral version instead.

Compounded liraglutide is also uncommon: six of the four hundred and twenty publish a price for it, Alloy among them, and one more lists it without a figure.

The Wegovy pen price has no expiry on it

The Wegovy pen is priced as a discount. Alloy prints a struck-through base figure beside the discounted one, and the page's own data field carries that base price, so the discount is real and the base is not hidden.

What is missing is a term. Nothing beside the number says how long the discounted rate lasts or what happens when it ends. So you cannot read the ongoing price of that specific product off the page at all.

If the Wegovy pen is what you want, ask that before starting. Every other figure on the page is worded as a starting price, which has its own imprecision, but at least it is not a promotion with an unstated end date.

Coverage has to be assembled from exclusions

There is no list of states Alloy serves. What exists instead is an exclusion footnote on the priced page naming the states where compounded products are not sold, and a collapsed question that resolves what that means.

Put together: two jurisdictions cannot buy weight care from Alloy at all, and five more can buy only FDA-approved medications. Everywhere else gets both routes.

Publishing exclusions on the priced page itself is better than burying them, and better than the eighty-two sellers here that publish no service area of any kind. It still leaves you doing assembly work to answer a yes-or-no question about your own address.

Named physicians, unnamed pharmacy

Alloy names a chief medical advisor, a clinical director and a per-page medical reviewer, all physicians with credentials, and the product page carries a named reviewer at the top. One hundred and twenty of the four hundred and twenty sellers here name a prescriber, and Alloy's disclosure is at the stronger end of those.

No compounding pharmacy is named anywhere. Not on the priced page, not on the compounded product pages, not in the terms, not in the privacy policy. What appears instead is category language: licensed compounding pharmacies, FDA-regulated compounding pharmacies. Ninety-four of the four hundred and twenty name one; Alloy is not among them.

Alloy is also explicit that it takes no insurance for either the drug or the fee. That is worth knowing up front, and it does at least mean nothing about your bill depends on a coverage decision.
