Our assessment
MedLeanRx serves one state and runs two lanes at once: a compounded lane priced all in, and an FDA-approved lane priced as a fee with the drug charged separately. What earns it a place here is that it prints the words that separate them. Every brand tile carries the phrase saying the medication is extra, right on the tile — the one disclosure that stops the cheapest-looking number on the page from being read as a drug price.
The lowest number on the page is not a drug price
Four tiles on the products page carry the same low figure and the same suffix: plus the cost of medication. Those four are the FDA-approved products.
Three other tiles carry higher figures with no suffix. Those are the compounded products, and their prices are all in.
Sort by number alone and the brand tiles look like the bargains. Read as written, they are a program fee attached to a drug the site never prices.
One state, said on nearly every page
The state name sits in the navigation bar, in the hero, in the footer and in the page titles. Every city it lists is in that state.
A single-state seller that says so repeatedly is doing something several national-sounding sellers here do not: making its limit impossible to miss.
A supervising physician with a name
One page is given over to the supervising physician, named and credentialed, with a description of what the review covers.
It is one clinician rather than a council. But a name you can look up is a disclosure in a way that board-certified providers is not.
A starting dose, and a footnote
The compounded figure is explicitly a starting-dose rate, and a footnote says pricing may vary by prescribed medication, dosage and individual need.
No ladder is published, so what a maintenance dose costs isn't on the site. At least the footnote admits the number can move, which several sellers with the same structure never do.

Good fit if
- Readers in the one state it serves who want a compounded and an FDA-approved route priced at the same seller.
- Buyers who want the oral and injectable versions of both routes on one page.
- People who want the supervising physician named.
Look elsewhere if
- Anyone outside that state.
- Readers who need to know what the FDA-approved route actually costs, medication included.
- Buyers who want a published dose ladder rather than a starting rate.
What stands out about MedLeanRx
Strengths
- Prints the words "+ the cost of medication" on every FDA-approved tile, which is the disclosure that stops its lowest figure being read as a drug price
- Names its supervising physician on a page of his own
- Carries both a compounded and an FDA-approved lane, including an oral brand pill and an oral compounded tablet, so the two routes can be compared at one seller
- States its service area as one state on nearly every page rather than implying national reach
- Says outright that compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and has not been reviewed for quality, safety or efficacy
Trade-offs
- Serves Texas only, so it is unavailable to almost everyone reading a national comparison
- The four brand tiles publish a fee and no drug price, so no reader can compute what a month of the FDA-approved route actually costs
- The compounded figure is a starting-dose rate and the footnote says pricing may vary by dosage, so what a higher dose costs is not published
- Names no compounding pharmacy
How this review was verified
- The homepage, the products page and the physician page read.
- Four of the seven product tiles carry the plus-the-cost-of-medication suffix. The other three carry no suffix and are the compounded products.
- The medication cost the four suffixed tiles refer to is never stated anywhere on the site.
- The pricing link goes to the products page rather than a separate rate card.
