Our assessment

Revel RX gets two of the hardest disclosures right. It names both compounding pharmacies with street addresses, phone numbers and opening hours, and in four states it names the individual physician assigned to your care, with a state license number. Very little at this end of the market does either. What it can't do is keep one story about its own price: the pricing cards call the figure flat monthly pricing for every dose, the header above them calls the same figure a starting rate with an asterisk that has no footnote, and the FAQ says pricing depends on how long your program runs.

Both pharmacies, named and addressable

The FAQ item asking which pharmacies Revel RX is affiliated with opens onto two of them, each with a street address, a telephone number, business hours in a named time zone and a website. It closes by saying all affiliated pharmacies are licensed by their respective state boards.

That's a claim you can check. You can look up the license. The usual formulation across this comparison is a generic reference to state-licensed compounding pharmacies with no name attached, which isn't a disclosure at all.

Named physicians, in four states

The provider-network answer says the platform partners with an outside clinician network. That names a company, not a prescriber, and on its own it wouldn't count for much.

The state-availability answer is different. It lists four states in which a specific provider is assigned to a patient's care, and names each physician with a license number. Those are individuals you can verify with a state board.

Revel RX is careful to say it isn't a medical practice and that prescribing decisions are made independently by the clinician. That's the correct disclaimer, and it doesn't undo the naming.

Three surfaces, three stories about the price

The pricing cards are unambiguous: one figure per drug, flat monthly pricing, no hidden fees, all doses included at one price, and the block closes by saying prices shown are per month. Read only that and the price is settled.

The header above it renders the same figure as a starting rate and hangs an asterisk on it. Nothing on the page footnotes that asterisk. A second line lower down also says the plans start at that figure rather than cost it.

The FAQ then says program pricing depends on the medication prescribed and on the length of the program, and the account features mention multi-month refill plans with monthly savings. The intake screen advertises a limited-time saving without naming what it's measured against.

None of that is quantified anywhere you can see before you sign up. Get the figure and the term confirmed in writing before you start.

Good on billing, silent on states

Billing conduct is one of the clearer parts of the site. Revel RX states that it doesn't auto-bill and charges only when you log in and start a refill, and it publishes a two-step escalation path with named addresses, a subject-line format and stated response windows. It also asks you to come to it before your bank.

The state answer is the weak one. It says the service operates in the United States, that availability may vary by state depending on the therapy, and that restrictions are disclosed during intake. The intake's own first question offers a fifty-state dropdown with no exclusions — but a dropdown isn't a service claim, and Revel RX declines to make one.

There's no brand lane here. Everything sold is compounded, and the site says so plainly, including that compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

Who Revel RX suits

Good fit if

  • Readers who want the compounding pharmacy named and checkable against a state board.
  • Buyers in the four states where an individual prescribing physician is named with a license number.
  • People who titrate up and want the price not to climb with the dose.
  • Anyone who wants a published billing-dispute path before they need one.

Look elsewhere if

  • Readers who need to know whether their state is served before starting an intake.
  • Anyone who wants the advertised figure to be the figure, with no starting-rate hedge attached to it.
  • Buyers who want an FDA-approved brand product, which isn't offered here.

What stands out about Revel RX

Strengths

  • Names both compounding pharmacies with street address, phone, opening hours and website
  • Names individual prescribing physicians, with state license numbers, for the four states where a specific provider is assigned
  • One figure per drug across every dose, so titrating up does not raise the bill
  • States that it does not auto-bill and charges only when a patient logs in and initiates a refill
  • Publishes a two-step billing escalation path with named addresses and stated response windows

Trade-offs

  • The header prints the price as a from rate with an asterisk that has no footnote anywhere on the page, while the cards below call the same figure flat monthly pricing
  • Its own FAQ says program pricing depends on the length of the program, which the pricing cards do not mention and no page quantifies
  • Does not say which states it serves — only that it operates in the United States and that availability may vary
  • The intake advertises a limited-time saving without stating what it is measured against
  • Compounded medications are not FDA-approved finished drug products

How this review was verified

  • The homepage, the about page, the FAQ and the intake's first screen read.
  • The pharmacy names, the provider-network statement and the state answer are all hidden until a FAQ item is clicked open. Each was opened and read.
  • Two compounding pharmacies are named, each with a street address, a telephone number, business hours and a website. Four state-specific physicians are named with license numbers.
  • The pricing cards, the page header, a secondary pricing line, the FAQ cost answer and the intake banner give four different accounts of what the figure is, and none of them quantifies the difference.
  • Whether the headline figure requires a multi-month program is still unsettled. The intake form doesn't advance past its first screen.
  • The about page names a founder and chief executive, not a clinician, so the four named state physicians are the only prescribers on the site.

Where Revel RX ranks

Revel RX qualifies for 3 of the 6 boards on this site. A board only ranks the providers that meet its own condition, so a missing board means Revel RX does not publish what that board sorts on.

Frequently asked questions

Which pharmacy fills the prescription?

One of two named compounding pharmacies, each published with a street address, phone number, opening hours and website in the FAQ.

Is a prescribing clinician named?

Yes, in four states, with license numbers. Elsewhere the site names only the outside clinician network it partners with.

Is the advertised price the ongoing rate?

Unclear, and the site says two different things. The pricing cards call it flat monthly pricing for every dose; the header calls it a starting rate, and the FAQ says pricing depends on how long your program runs.

Is there a membership fee?

The pricing cards state there is none, and the line beneath them says the price is all-in with no hidden or membership fees.

Which states does it serve?

Not published. It says only that it operates in the United States and that availability may vary by state.

Does it sell FDA-approved medication?

No. Everything offered is compounded, and the site states that compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
