Our assessment

Every price SkinnyRx publishes is a first-month price, and the site never says what month two costs. That is the whole story here. Around it sits a seller doing several things well. Four compounded formats priced in the open. The three states it won't ship to, named in writing. A refund if a clinician turns you down, and its own medical director named on the product page. It never names a compounding pharmacy, both of its FDA-approved listings are badged unavailable with no price, and leaving a promotional plan early can claw the discount back.

Every published price is a first month

Injectable semaglutide, semaglutide tablets, injectable tirzepatide and tirzepatide tablets each carry a published figure, and each one is described as a first-month price in SkinnyRx's own words.

No product page publishes the renewal rate. That matters more than anything else you will read about SkinnyRx, because a first-month figure tells you almost nothing about the cost of treatment. GLP-1 therapy is measured in months, not in one.

So the comparison you most want to make can't be made from SkinnyRx's site. You can hold its entry price against a rival's entry price. You can't hold its ongoing cost against anything, because the ongoing cost isn't published.

The while-supplies-last banner, and what to do about it

A site-wide banner attaches a while-supplies-last line to the injectable figure. That is urgency language wrapped around a promotional rate, and it's worth calling it what it is.

It says nothing about the medication or the seller. It is a reason to slow down rather than speed up, because what the banner is pushing you toward is a subscription whose second month has no published price.

One question fixes it at intake: what does this cost in month two, and in month six, in writing, before you pay for month one. If the answer won't come in writing, that is your answer.

Leaving early can cost you the discount

SkinnyRx says that if you cancel a promotional plan early, any discounts received may be reversed or proportionally adjusted, and that the final refund may be less than the payment minus the unused portion.

Put that beside the first-month pricing and the shape is clear. The low entry price is attached to a plan, and stepping off the plan can retroactively unwind it.

That combination is the problem. Plenty of sellers use clawback clauses; most of them at least publish the renewal rate you would be leaving.

The disclosure that is genuinely good

SkinnyRx names the states it won't serve — Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi — and blocks orders from them. Plenty of sellers publish nothing at all about where they operate.

It also says you get a full refund, within a day or two, if a clinician decides you don't qualify. That removes the most common complaint about intake-first telehealth: paying before anyone has looked at you.

And it names its medical director on the semaglutide product page. Naming an accountable clinician is a small thing that a surprising number of sellers won't do.

The pharmacy and the brand listings are both blanks

No compounding pharmacy is named anywhere on the site. The closest you get is a category — licensed U.S. pharmacies, 503A pharmacies — which describes a type rather than identifying a company.

For a compounded preparation the pharmacy is the manufacturer, so that is a real gap. Shed names three with street addresses in its Terms and Embody names four in its footer.

The two FDA-approved products SkinnyRx lists are both badged Unavailable and carry no price. They are on the site, but you can't buy either or price either, so they shouldn't weigh in your decision.
