The promotional rate is the front of a two-year shape
The discounted rate running when the page was read applied to the first two months only, and reaching it required signing a twelve-month plan. After those two months, the standing membership rate carries the rest of that year.
Then the plan auto-renews for another twelve months. So the promotion that opens the relationship sits at the front of what is, by default, a two-year commitment.
That is a long horizon for a class of medication many patients stop or switch within a few months. Ask what cancelling actually costs before the discount persuades you, and check whether the promotion has an expiry date of its own.
The membership is a second bill, every month
The medication figures on this page cover medication. The Med+ membership is charged separately and repeats for as long as you stay.
So the real monthly cost is the drug plus the standing membership rate, and that is the number to carry into any comparison. Placed next to a compounded seller's all-inclusive plan rate, the published drug price alone is misleading.
The medication figures themselves match what several other brand-name sellers in this comparison publish. As with the rest of that group, the subscription is where the sellers actually differ from each other.
It names who provides the care
WeightWatchers names the affiliated medical group behind the clinical side of the service rather than leaving the prescriber layer anonymous.
That is a small thing that most of this category skips. A named medical group is an entity with licensure and a corporate identity you can look into, which is more than a footnote saying licensed clinicians.
It stops short of naming individual prescribers. One seller in this comparison publishes its physicians with NPI numbers, which is the higher bar.
Coverage is not stated
No statement of which states the clinic operates in appears on the weight-loss medication page.
For a company this widely known, that is an odd gap, and an absent list is not a nationwide claim. Confirm your own state before you commit to a twelve-month plan.
The pharmacy is not named either. That carries less weight for a manufacturer's finished drug than it would for a compounded one.
